Benign essential tremor. |

was recently diagnosed with benign essential tremor that directly affects my voicebox. This causes noticeable shakiness in my voice when I'm nervous or agitated. Directly affects my sales work or public speaking. Taking propranolol as directed by physician but seems like a temporary band aid. I'm 59 and realize I've been dealing with this since I was in high school. Mostly I want to find a way to control this. It's even affecting my singing as I play guitar and do vocals at church on Sunday. It's embarrassing and limiting my potential. Anyone had experience with this condition? My mother is 90 and has an extremely shaky voice when speaking, thus supporting articles I've read about inheriting this. Private Reply to Dan Banta (new win) |
